Cursor agent wipes a whole Windows drive instead of one folder

More Cursor users on Windows report the agent running a delete command that wiped a whole drive instead of one folder.
This is one user's account on Cursor's forum, not independently confirmed. They say that on 17 October Cursor's agent, running in “Run Everything” mode with Grok 4.7 High Fast, tried to delete one small folder on Windows. The quoting in its cmd command broke under PowerShell, so the delete hit the root of the D: drive instead and wiped almost the whole 1 TB SSD, with no confirmation prompt. They say the agent then reported success without checking, and carried on without a word after spotting that files had vanished.
Cursor staff replied that it's a known issue they're tracking. It's not a one-off either: other users posted similar drive-wipe reports on the forum on 9 October and in September.
Never auto-run recursive deletes, and hard-block anything that resolves to a drive root.
